INTRODUCTION: On February 1, 2017, as American fans were enjoying their Super Bowl Sunday on T.V, the then CEO of Uber Technologies Inc. (Uber) , Travis Kalanick (Kalanick) was having one of the most controversial days of his life with a video of him arguing with his Uber driver surfacing online and going viral.

Kalanick’s drive had started off as a normal UberBlack ride. He was sitting in the middle, flanked by two female friends. The drive ended on an unpleasant note, with Kalanick and his driver for the day, Kamel (37), engaging in a heated debate “over pay”. Kamel claimed that the company had lowered the fares on its premium black car service. Kalanick denied his accusations and before abruptly exiting the car said, “You know what? Some people don’t like to take responsibility for their own shit. They blame everything in their life on somebody else.” (Refer to Exhibit I for a picture of the event). ..
