INTRODUCTION: Akhilesh Kumar Rajak (Akhilesh), deputy manager at Greenply Industries Limited (GIL), India’s largest interior infrastructure company and one of the leading manufacturers and sellers of plywood and MDF boards, was concerned as the company’s newly launched Loyalty Programs were not showing the expected results. GIL had launched two loyalty programs – Green Samriddhi and Green Access – in 2015 to retain and attract customers who were mainly architects, interior designers, and carpenters. The objective of the loyalty programs was to collect data about the customers who purchased the products from retailers and dealers. The customer data was expected to be used for designing predictive models, sales, and promotional strategies.. |
