INTRODUCTION: In January 2023, Tata Group’s fashion and retail company Trent Ltd entered into a joint venture with MAS Amity Pte Ltd. of Singapore to design, develop, and manufacture intimate apparel in India. Between 2020 and 2022, Reliance Retail invested in three lingerie brands – Zivame, Amante, and Clovia, taking the total number of lingerie brands under its umbrella to six. In 2021, two essential wear companies Dixcy Scott and Enamor, merged to form a new company – Modenik Lifestyle– with a vision to become the most preferred essential clothing company in India. Other major fashion and retail giants such as Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail and Arvind Lifestyle Brands were also making rapid strides in the innerwear market.. |
