Abstract:
Apple’s iPod with its compact design and higher storage capacity had captured the market for portable music players in a short span of time. Despite competition from several players, iPod remained the market leader. In 2005, Apple replaced its hugely popular iPod mini with nano that was more compact. iPod, despite its popularity, also suffered setbacks such as lost patent battles and lawsuits pertaining to the product’s battery life and display screen. The case details iPod’s advantages, its competitors and the hurdles it faced.
