Amit`s Dilemma-Choosing MBA Specialization (A)
Introduction Indian Business College (IBC), a leading business school in India, admitted about 500 students every year to its MBA Program. The students, who came from different undergraduate backgrounds, went through a common entrance test, a group discussion, and an interview. Only about 5% of those who took the written test were admitted into the MBA program. The MBA course in IBC was spread over four semesters. The students were monitored regularly and were graded based on their class work, projects, participation in class, and regular tests. They were taught not only by some of the best faculty in the country, but also by several professors from abroad, who took some of the specialized courses. The students also got to interact with industry personnel who visited them every weekend to give them insights into the corporate world. |
