Abstract:
The primary objective of this case study is to discuss how perceptions at workplace differ among individuals, and the problems associated with such perceptions. Hi-Style Limited was started in 1975. The company designs and manufactures high-end designer clothes for women. It emphasises on developing contemporary and unique designs for women. Rachna joined Hi-Style Limited with stars in her eyes. Working in Hi-Style Limited was the best opportunity that she could have ever asked for, at such an early stage in life. Her joy knew no bounds when she was recruited as the chief designer for the upcoming season's collections. But she was not prepared for the problems she was going to face with her other team members.
Pedagogical Objectives:
- To develop an understanding on the commonly used shortcuts in judging others
- To debate on the strategies which can be used to deal with the issues related to perception.
