Abstract:
This case analyses the contrasting personality types of two stepbrothers, Rajesh and Sushil. Sushil and his sister Mansi are brutally ill treated by Sunitha, their stepmother. Their maternal uncle takes Sushil and Mansi away as he could not bear the torture that the children were going through. Rajesh grows up to be a spoilt brat and falls prey to bad habits. He falls in love with ordinary looking Chitra and marries her only to usurp her money. Chitra tries her level best to mend him but in vain. He loses every penny and is unable to repay mounting debts and finally dies in despair. Chitra becomes all alone in this world and seeks employment in a cable company to support herself and her son. The chairman of that company Sushil, a widower, is noted for his hard work, generosity and positive behaviour. In due course, Sushil comes to know that Chitra is none other than his stepbrother Rajesh’s wife. He helps her to overcome her problems and finally Sushil and Chitra tie the knot.
