A distressed corporate major like Chrysler and the appointment of its CEO, Robert Nardelli (Nardelli) calls for a fascinating discussion detailed in the case study. It is aimed at introducing students to explore leadership styles and apply them to a particular situation. Students are led to insights in situational leadership and to the understanding that effective executives use a collection of leadership styles matching the right situation. The case discussion would also call for a role-play, where students were asked questions - like how do you view the situation? what issues surround your role?
