Abstract:
When it comes to defining innovation in business Apple and Google have set the trend by their highly innovative business practices. The two global conglomerates have diverse businesses and different approaches to innovation. Apple believes in a closed style of innovation and rigorously guards their creative outcome by patenting. On the other hand, Google understands innovation as a collaborative effort which enables every individual to participate and contribute in their own way. Though both the masters of innovation differ in their approaches, the point where these exclusively different organisations share similarity is that they have both built their success by adopting 'innovation as a strategy'.
